Chair2Chair_by_FrederickAyers

Chair2Chair_by_frederickayers is a place where we begin your hair journey.

The chair is the catalyst and the point of connection where we start to co-create with each other.  This experience is unlike any other experience. We are here to guide you and your hair into greatness. Our focus is you and your experience.

Frederick is the creative director of your hair experience.

We are not just offering haircuts and color services. We are considering the entire being and supporting you with all the necessary tools to connect and radiate from inside out.

I have watched and participated in this beautiful dance that occurs in my life on a daily basis.

In 30 years of my career in hair, I have learned that when I give space and allowance to my instrument, I become part of the orchestra of life.  I then allow my gifts to transcend beyond hair and the chair.

What you can expect from your experience:

  • A safe space and place where we can connect and co-create with each other.
  • The space will allow the two creators (you and I) to consult, communicate, and bring clarity to the vision.
  • The space will bring results in a more planned, predictable, and promising experience.

Come co-create with me. Let me guide you into expansion and growth. It’s just you and me working in a safe and creative environment. Let’s tap into your greater self, starting with a promise of great hair and an even greater experience.

Frederick

Looking forward to co-creating with you.

Retouching Katie’s Blonde After six months

http:/https://youtu.be/knxbYOdZ1lA

I had a great time refreshing and updating Katie’s color after six months.
Being Blonde is great, Just remember hair tends to grow a 1/2 inch and month. In this day and time we can be any color on the spectrum, but I focus on what suits my clients are their needs. SO how do I decide?
Great question, There are 3 key elements that I focus on and I call this the triple C’s.

1. Consultation-It is very important to hear what my clients are saying. Me listening will either make our break the entire color service. Depending on region and experience with color and previous stylist. Helps shape the clients terminology. I’m listening and decoding at the same time. So having ample time to chat and dialogue about my client’s desire, lifestyle and expectations are vital in this process.
I believe you can never have to much information, the more the better, this includes good and bad hair experiences. I love pictures that can help really define a clear line of the difference of a cool blonde or a warm blonde. Pictures from social media is great for a guide but I definitely love to see pics of my clients hair in varying stages and activities of their life.

2. Color-Whether Blonde or Brunette, it’s vital that me and my clients are on the same page at this point. Color is such a huge spectrum. From level 1-10, warm-cool-ash, baby lights-bayage’, full highlight-partial, painting vs freehand, to rooty, dramatic or subtle.
I tell my clients lets not focus on name calling or the process. Lets focus on the look that you desire and I as your stylist will decide how I will execute. I am the Colorist and your are the Client.

3. Commitment-The last step before we can begin. Like with any relationship there has to be a commitment, whether great or small. Color can be a commitment but it doesn’t have to be cumbersome. That’s why the consultation and I am here. There are so many options for color. I just have to find the best option that suits your lifestyle. Time and budget are the two key things that will determine how will will proceed.

The worst thing is leaving the salon and you color and haircut doesn’t look good except for the day you leave the salon. Its my goal that my clients love their hair on a daily basis. So opposed a overhaul every six months. We find a schedule and system that focuses on maintenance.

Salon Opening

After Living and working in Washington, DC, for two years.

The Nations Capitol, Home of the Nationals, constant networking, happy hours, bottomless brunches, and Day Parties.

Thats the fun stuff , which seems like work. I haven’t even mentioned why the majority of us come to Washington, DC.

We come to be apart of something great and historic. Whether its working for the Government, serving in the Military, Elevating our minds with higher Education, or the arts which is so full and rich here.

It’s been a amazing experience, with huge growth opportunities . Living in a city where people pack in a lot more than lunch. They pack their work bag, gym bag, and some of us, a back pack so our hands can be free to achieve and accomplish more.

The City will teach you to be efficient in all areas of living. A life thats scheduled and filled with, meetings, appointments, kids, meals, interviews, interns, parking, grocery shopping, and commuting.

I worked for large corporate salon in a fast paced environment. Where the focus was numbers, up-selling and production.

I don’t think your hair should be another thing to check off the to do list. So. I sought to create a similar experience here in Washington, DC, similar to my Charlottesville, VA location.

I wanted to create a space and environment, where my client was the total focus.
From the beginning to the end of their hair experience.

At Frederick Ayers Salon, when you sit in my chair. We are about to have a real life experience.
From a one on one consultation, to the shampoo, cutting, coloring, and styling of your hair. Its just me and you.

From Hair Health, Product knowledge, to Tips on how to recreate and maintain your look and locks at home.
