BIOGRAPHY

For over 26 years, stylist Frederick Ayers has offered his clients the very best in color, cuts, and styles. Ayers has immersed himself in the art of hair; from a salon manager, to apprentice, to salon owner.

Frederick’s training in the Pivot Point method has enabled him to best analyze, envision, and plan his work. Pivot Point emphasizes the technical and creative elements of hair design. This enables Frederick to continually reinvent his cutting style and coloring techniques. He continues to hone his craft on the job and in the classroom.
In addition to Pivot Point, Frederick is  versed in a variety of color lines and cutting methods.  Aveda, Bumble and Bumble, Framesi,  L’oreal, Logic, and Redken.

My approach is to blend your lifestyle with my vision.
I believe:

  • A good cut and color is about collaboration. Together we can achieve the best look to complement who you are.
  • Asking questions, listening, and learning about you is essential to giving you hair that is both fun and functional.
  • A cut is the solid foundation for endless styling possibilities.
  • Color can be natural and current.
  • Product should not control design, but enhance it.
For the past three years while working and living in Washington, D.C., Frederick has taken his career to another level;
  • Barbering class @ London School of Barbering.  Where I perfected the art of fades, tapers and the art of male styling.
  • Redken Color classes. Where I enhanced my skills in hair painting, balayage, and ombres to create beautiful shades of color with softer lines.
